First 6980G-HD Video Inserters are shipped

We are pleased to announce the first orders for the 6980G-HD (high definition) video inserters were shipped to Dugway Proving Grounds, NAWC China Lake and Yuma Proving Ground. The 6980G-HD is an SD/HD-SDI video inserter that sets a new standard for digital video insertion in the instrumentation community.

The 6980G-HD can receive and drive a video stream with the following formats, SD-SDI, HD-SDI (720p, 1080i) or 3G HD SDI (1080p). It has been tested to ensure that time stamps are within 10 microseconds of the vertical sync with a repeatability of +/- 2 microseconds.  It is the first unit to market capable of high accuracy time and data insertion onto HD video formats.
