Photo-Sonics has a long history of designing, manufacturing, and supplying specialist camaras, indeed it was one of the founding blocks of the company. Our routes can be found in the 1920s, when as the Acme Tool and Manufacturing Company, we developed animation camera for Walt and Roy Disney. Later in the late 1940's and early 1950's, with the U.S. Government's emphasis on missiles development, a requirement for high speed instrumentation cameras evolved. With a history of building high precision cameras, it was a natural progression for Photo-Sonics to enter into this new field.

Today, we produce head up display cameras and offer ruggedised and qualified video cameras for airborne, military, applications or any requirement with a harsh environment including stores release testing.

Our partners Kappa Optronics makes full use of their many years of experience as one of the few EN/AS 9100 certified camera suppliers. If you have a demanding application, there is an ITAR-free, SWaP-C optimized, COTS Flight Eye camera option for you.
