MDR Video Input Modules

As part of the HEIM DATaRec® 4 MDR (Modular Data Recorder) system, various Modules and Accessories are available from Safran Data Systems. These include the following Video Input Modules. Full datasheets are available on request.

MVCR1A - 4 Channel Analogue HD-Video input module.

The MVCR1A is an analogue HD-Video input module for recording 4 Data channels on 2 Physical I/Os of SDTV/EDTV (NTSC or PAL) or analog graphic video signals with a resolution up to SXGA (1280 × 1024) and with E to E video output for composite and s-video. Video compression is H.264. Each video Data channel has one related stereo audio channel.

MVCR2 - 2 Channel Digital HD-Video input module.

The MVCR2 module can be used for recording 2 Data channels of digital HD-video (DVI-D) and has one E to E analog video output. Video compression is H.264. The video Data channel has one related stereo audio channel.

NTSC (720 × 480 @59.94i), PAL (720 × 576 @50i), VGA (640 × 480 @60p), XGA (1024 × 768 @60p), HD720p (1280 × 720 @50p/59.94p/60p), SXGA (1280 × 1024 @60p), & (HD1080p 1920 × 1080 @50p/59.94p/60p).

MVCR3 - 4 Channel Digital SDI HD-Video input module.

The MVCR3 module can be used for recording 4 Data channels on 2 Physical I/Os of digital HD-video (SDI). Each SDI video Data channel has one related stereo digital SDI audio channel or one related stereo analog audio channel. Video compression is H.264.

SD-SDI (SMPTE 259M-C), HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M), & 3G-SDI (SMPTE 424M without 2K).

MVCR4 & MVCR4A - 2 Channel Analogue Video Input Module

The MVCR4/MVCR4A module can be used for recording 2 Data channels on 1 Physical I/O of analogue video (SDTV, EDTV, HDTV or analog graphic) and has 1 E to E analogue video output. Video compression is H.264. The video Data channel has one related stereo audio channel.

MVCR4A - CVBS Composite video, Y/C S-video, RGB, Hs and Vs, RGB, Cs
RGB (SoG), YPbPr (SoY), Differential RGB (SoG), up to 75 MHz signal bandwidth, Differential CVBS, Differential YPbPr (SoY)

MVCR5 - 4 Channel HD Video Input Module

The MVCR5 module can be used for recording 4 Data channels on 2 Physical I/Os of digital HD-video (DVI-D). Video compression is H.264. Each video Data channel has one related stereo audio channel.

Supports:

2 Digital video (DVI-D) and 2 Analog stereo audio (1 per video channel)

MVCR6 - 2 Channel Multiplexed HD Video Input Module

The MVCR6 module can be used to record either one of two input channels or a multiplexed/scaled video generated from both digital HD-video (SDI) input channels. Video compression is H.264. Each SDI input has one related analogue stereo audio input and one SDI loopback output.

HD-SDI SMPTE 292M, and 3G-SDI SMPTE 424M (without 2K)

MVCRE - 8 Channel Ethernet Video Input Module

MVCRE module can be used for recording RTP and RTSP streaming video and audio data delivered by IP cameras over Ethernet.

The module supports 8 video and 4 audio streams. The module converts the RTP streams to standard IRIG-106 chapter 10 video and analog voice packets. Use this modules with cameras like the Kappa Flight-Eye FE320.

MVCR-SDI4 - 8 Channel SDI Input Module

MVCR-SDI4 module can be used for recording of digital HD-video (SDI). Depending on the SDI video resolutions and data rates up to 4 SDI video signals can be recorded on up to 8 data channels (e.g. 4 of these data channels can be configured for reduced data rate for telemetry downlink). Stereo Audio of the recorded data channels can be selected from the SDI video input (first two SDI audio channels) or from the two stereo analog audio inputs of the module. H.265 or H.264 video compression can be selected for each channel.
