MDR Flight Test Data Recorder
Introduction:
The DATaRec®MDR family from Heim / Safran Data Systems continues to set the standard in flight test data recording for today and tomorrow.
By providing flight test engineers with the versatility to record sensor, video, and bus data in complex and harsh airborne environments, the MDR has earned itself the reputation as the go to flight test data recorder.
The data recorder's environmental specifications pass MIL-STD-810F for temperature, humidity, altitude, vibration, shock and acceleration, meaning that continuous and accurate data measurements are being recorded when the aircraft is performing at extremes. Safran Data Systems have had the performance validated so you don't have to.
A rugged mainframe with a capacity of either 2, 4, or 8 signal interface modules forms the core of a fast, high capacity system ready to handle both the lightest and most extensive test requirements. The mainframe offers inbuilt Ethernet, voice, and IRIG interfaces, along with an integrated GPS receiver allowing a master clock to keep precision time if an IRIG time source is not available.
Easily expandable, multiple MDR units can be tethered in a master slave arrangement, or a network of XMA Data Acquisition Units can be located closer to sensor in remote corners of the aircraft and used to broadcast their data to an MDR as a Distributed Data Acquisition System.
Data can be recorded in IRIG-106 chapter 10 data format either onto a CF card or removable sealed solid state memory cartridge, and with an appropriate interface module can be broadcast to a telemetry transmitter.
A wide range of Analogue Input Modules, Digital Input & Bus Interface Modules, Video Input Modules, Hybrid Interface Modules, and Storage Modules are available.
Key Features:
- Scalable Mainframes: 2, 4, or 8 slots for signal interface cards
